BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF PARTNER
The Technische Universität Darmstadt is one of Germany’s leading technical universities. It has approximately 300 professors, 4,500 scientific and administrative employees and 26,000 students devoting their talents and best efforts to the significant future research fields energy, mobility, communications and information technologies, housing and living conditions. The wide variety of disciplines represented are all focused on technology, as viewed from the vantage point of engineering, the natural sciences, the humanities, and the social sciences, and cover the full range of academic endeavour, from the origination of basic concepts to practical, everyday applications.
Role in the project
In TANGO, TUDA leads the development of neuro-symbolic learning approaches for improved human-machine interactions via understandability and reliability. TUDA also contributes to the work on cognitive foundations of mutual understanding and decision making, methods for shared decision making and ethical decision making, and supports the development of the TANGO software ecosystem.
