BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF PARTNER

A top research organization in Italy, ranking first for scientific excellence in 3 different areas (ICT, History and Sociology) and for its economic and social impact according to the results of the ANVUR research quality evaluation for the period 2010-2014, Fondazione Bruno Kessler is a non-profit research institution of public interest.

The result of a history spanning more than half a century, through 11 research centers of high international standing and thanks to more than 450 researchers, FBK aims at excellence in the science and technology fields with special regard to cross-disciplinary approaches and application aspects.

It pays relentless attention to collaborations and exchange activities with research organizations, including institutional and corporate, national and international ones, which expand its capacity for innovation and involve the local community and economy in the circulation of knowledge and technology.

It conducts work in the following fields: Cybersecurity, Digital Society, Digital Industry, Digital Health and Wellbeing, Health Emergencies, Sustainable Energy, Sensors and Devices, Theoretical Physics, Evaluation Research on Public Policies, Italian-German Historical Studies and Religious Studies.

Role in the project

FBK is involved in the research on algorithms for hybrid decision making; more specifically, FBK leads the work on developing methods for social policy making.

FBK is also involved in the TANGO case studies, where they lead the case study on supporting loan officers and loan applicants in credit lending.
