BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF PARTNER
EIT Digital (EITD) is a pan-European ecosystem of top European corporations, SMEs, start-ups, universities, and research institutes. EITD has an in-depth knowledge of the advanced digital skills area.
EITD builds the next generation of digital ventures, digital products and services, and breed digital entrepreneurial talent, helping business and entrepreneurs to be at the frontier of digital innovation by providing them with technology, talent, and growth support.
EIT Digital answers specific innovation needs by, for example, finding the right partners to bring technology to the market, supporting the scale-up of digital technology ventures, attracting talent and developing their digital knowledge and skills.
EITD has been running several Innovation and Entrepreneurship education programmes in key digital technology areas for Europe in partnership with leading European universities and other training providers in the past 10 years. These programmes include 7 pan-European Master’s programmes (as part of the EIT Digital Master School) to breed t-shaped talents with in-depth knowledge of key digital technologies such as Cybersecurity, Data Science, Embedded System, Autonomous Systems, and Cloud and Network Infrastructures. The EIT Digital Master School is a strong brand in European education with leading technical universities from all over Europe.
The experience and expertise of EITD will be at the disposal of the consortium from the beginning of the project, including the availability to leverage on the existing EITD ecosystem, which consists of 300+ partners in Europe. EITD has a deep understanding of the digital related environment, and extensive expertise in coordinating education related activities for students in different digital related fields. This expertise will be available since the start of the project.
Role in the project
EITD coordinates the development of the four TANGO project case studies, facilitating alignment among best practices and fostering synergies among methodologies adopted in trial development. It is also in charge of taking innovation from lab to market, focusing on Innovation Management and Exploitation of TANGO project exploitable results.
EITD contributes to policy making acting as a bridge between industry, research and academia, as well as contributing to dissemination and communication activities, maximising the spread of TANGO project results among the technical and non-technical community.
