Between June 9th and 13th at the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa (Italy), we joined forces with the HHAI community to bring together over 200 researchers across disciplines for an exciting week of hybrid intelligence at two of Italy’s most prestigious institutions.

Thought‑provoking Keynotes were provided by: Jonathan Stray (University of California, Berkeley) on trustworthy fact‑checking with hybrid intelligence. Stuart Russell (University of California, Berkeley) on designing provably beneficial AI systems. John Shawe-Taylor (UCL) on shaping the future of the hybrid intelligence community. Ricardo Baeza-Yates (Barcelona Supercomputing Center) on limitations of current data-driven ML paradigms.

Deep Dive Tracks and Workshops

Organised sessions spanned from Moral Reasoning, Explainability, Societal Impact , to Adaptive Interfaces, and more. Our partners from University of Pisa and University of Trento, organised three workshops on: Trustworthy and Collaborative Artificial Intelligence (TCAI), The First Workshop on AI, Labour, and Society (AILS 2025), and SYNERGY 2025: Workshop on Designing and Building Hybrid Human-AI Systems.

Record‑Breaking Participation

With 129 submissions (up ~70 %!), 19 workshops, and 5 tutorials, this was our biggest and most ambitious edition yet.

On behalf of the TANGO Project team, we’re proud to have co-organised this milestone event. Our mission to advance meaningful Human – AI collaboration is deeply aligned with the vision of HHAI2025.

A huge thank you to all speakers, organisers, and attendees who made the week unforgettable. Stay connected with us for follow-up insights and upcoming initiatives!
