About the Workshop
The rapid rise of AI, particularly Generative AI, is transforming labor markets, industries, and economies worldwide. This workshop fosters interdisciplinary dialogue between social scientists, economists, and AI experts to examine AI’s societal impact and explore pathways for equitable and sustainable technological development.
The event builds on previous conferences in collaboration with FAIR at Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, further advancing discussions on AI governance, labor markets, and technological change.
Topics of Interest
We welcome interdisciplinary research from fields including social sciences, economics, industrial relations, and AI, covering topics such as:
- The impact of AI and digital platforms on labor quantity and quality
- Algorithmic management and AI-driven work organization
- The economic and business implications of AI
- AI’s environmental and social costs
- Generative AI and its paradigm shift in the digital economy
- The role of AI in shaping public discourse and policy
Submission Guidelines
We invite full research papers, working papers, blue sky papers, and extended abstracts. Submissions must follow CEUR-WS guidelines and be double-blind peer-reviewed.
Submission Deadline: April 11, 2025
Acceptance Notification: May 2, 2025
Camera-ready Submission: May 12, 2025
Accepted papers will be published in the HHAI 2025 Workshop and Tutorial proceedings (CEUR-WS) or submitted to special journal issues (TBC).
