2nd International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Democracy
The partners of the AIDEM 2026 workshop are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 2nd International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Democracy.
The workshop will take place on 7 September 2026 in conjunction with ECML PKDD 2026.
AIDEM 2026 will provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers, policymakers, practitioners and industry representatives to discuss the opportunities and risks arising from the use of artificial intelligence in democratic societies. Particular attention will be given to the role of AI and data analytics in public discourse, online platforms, democratic participation, regulation, fairness and social justice.
As generative AI systems increasingly influence information ecosystems, public opinion and decision-making processes, the workshop seeks contributions addressing both technological innovation and the protection of democratic values.
Submissions are invited in the form of regular papers, short papers and non-archival contributions. Accepted papers will be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), subject to presentation at the workshop.
Further information is available on the workshop website: https://aidem2026.isti.cnr.it/
